How do I set up my Obie for the first time?

The first time I turned on my Obie, it took a few minutes to start up. Is that normal?
Yes, that is normal. Your Obie can take up to 15 minutes to activate the first time.
How do I adjust the projection for a table, wall or floor?
When installing Obie, adjust the projection manually using the adjustment wheels on Obie before selecting the "Continue" button. Then select "Settings" in the main menu. In the "Play Mode" section, choose the mode you want (table, wall or floor). If the projection is tilted, adjust it to fit the surface, then click "Calibrate".
How do I connect the Obie projector to the Internet?
You do not need an Internet connection to play your games. However, you will need to connect to the Internet to install updates or add new games in the future.
Select a network from the list and enter the password if needed. For best results, connect your device to the Internet with an Ethernet cable. If the device is already connected, it will skip this step.
Do I need to update my Obie?
No. Your Obie works properly without any updates. If a new version becomes available, we will contact you directly so we can update it together.
Updates are mainly used to add new games, if you purchase any. You will not receive update notifications if Obie is not connected to the Internet.
Do I need to calibrate my device every time I change play mode (floor, table, wall)?
Each play mode requires physically adjusting the device's camera and mirror to a specific position. Once you select a play mode, your device will need to calibrate its motion sensor. If needed, readjust the projection using the on-screen options before selecting the "Calibrate" button. Step back and make sure nothing is blocking the projection area during calibration.

Can I create custom playlists?
Yes. Add games to one or more playlists from your library. Each mode has its own library containing all the games available for that mode. For example, some games can be played on a table but not on the floor, which is why each mode's library is different. Please note that the "General" playlist cannot be renamed or deleted.
To create a new playlist, select "Playlist" in the main menu, then select the "Add" icon using the "OK" button on your remote control. Adjust the new playlist's settings, then select "Save" to continue. Select "Done" once you have finished adjusting the settings.
How do I add games to my new playlist?
Select the games you want directly from your "General" playlist. Click the "+" icon to add a game to your new playlist. To add a game to a different playlist, remember to switch playlists first.
Can I turn off the sound?
Yes! Games can have different settings, such as turning sound effects on or off, starting at a later level or choosing a difficulty level. You can therefore mute the sound as well as adjust the volume.
Some games also have their own settings. To view and adjust them, select the "Game Settings" icon in the main menu. A game that appears in several playlists can have different settings in each one.
Select "Apply" when you are done to return to the playlist. Selecting "Cancel" will close this screen and undo any changes you made.
Can I adjust game levels to suit my residents' abilities?
Yes! One of the things that sets the Obie projector apart is that many games offer several difficulty levels. When you select a playlist, click the game settings icon. Depending on the game, you can choose from four difficulty levels.
Can I schedule when the Obie projector turns on and off?
Yes! You can create several schedules, setting the times you want the projector to turn on and off and the days each schedule applies. For example, you can set your projector to run Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
