Stimulate reactivity and attention in a playful way with the ABC Thumb Ball, a unique cognitive-motor recreation ball that turns every session into a lively, interactive game!

The ABC Thumb Ball is a unique, innovative recreation tool specially designed for cognitive-motor activities in LTC homes and retirement homes. Printed with letters, numbers and various colours on its surface, it is used in games where residents must react quickly to instructions, for example, responding with the letter under their thumb when they catch the ball. This combined physical and cognitive stimulation makes it especially well suited to residents with mild to moderate cognitive impairments or Alzheimer's disease.

The ABC Thumb Ball promotes:

  • Cognitive stimulation: recognizing letters, numbers and colours
  • Reactivity and attention in a lively game setting
  • Hand-eye coordination and gross motor skills
  • Engagement of residents with neurocognitive disorders
  • Moments of fun and laughter during group reaction games

Made of durable, easy-to-disinfect material. An original cognitive-motor recreation tool that stands out and sparks enthusiasm in residents and recreation staff alike!

Caractéristiques

It's time to be quick and lively with the ABC Thumb Ball!

This is no ordinary ball. Well suited to people living with Alzheimer's disease, it gets both the body and the mind moving! Light and easy to handle, it has several faces and letters in contrasting colours. Toss it to your residents and encourage them to speak up!

For example, ask players to find a word, or an animal, that starts with the letter under their thumb when they catch the ball. With residents living with moderate cognitive impairment, simply ask them to name the letter. Its bright colours and soft texture add a sensory dimension to the game and create a friendly group atmosphere.
